looking for a speaker ?
Are you part of a Plant Society, Gardening Group, or organising an event in need of an engaging speaker? Look no further than Kayleigh, the Founder & Owner of The Historical Herbologist Ltd.
Kayleigh's journey in the world of herbs began as an Instagram page in 2023 while she pursued a Herbology diploma at The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, graduating with distinction. Her passion bloomed, leading to the launch of herbal workshops in June 2024, which have continued to thrive. By June 2026, she will have a permanent shop in Dorking, where she can further inspire the community.
As a full-time herbologist and frequent presenter at RHS Garden Wisley, Kayleigh dives deep into the fascinating history, folklore, superstition, and medicinal uses of herbs – exploring topics from “The Evolution of Medicinal Plants” to “Death! In The Garden” and “Humours, Herbs & Health.” Her lively presentations are guaranteed to captivate your audience.
In recognition of her expertise, Kayleigh was appointed as an Ambassador for The Herb Society in May 2025 and became a Trustee in May 2026. She is also a passionate collector of rare books, with a particular focus on the history of medicinal plants—did you know that Chamomile and Yarrow are among the oldest recorded medicinal plants, dating back 49,000 years?
Kayleigh has complemented her studies at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh with courses in Botanical Pigment Making, Forest Bathing, and Clinical Herbalism. Her mission is to inspire others to discover, create, and connect with nature through the extraordinary world of herbs.
Don’t miss the opportunity to host Kayleigh as a speaker and enrich your gathering with her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for herbalism! Reach out to book her for your next event.
